The advantage of buying a trailer in autumn
The
summer season is a wonderful time to enjoy the great
outdoors with your travel trailer, but the fall offers even
greater benefits to those who want to approach buying a
trailer from a different perspective.
If you have a closer look at the typical trends in the RV
industry, you will find that RV dealers offer many special
promotions during this period. Most trailers (used and new)
are sold at a discount, because dealers must make room for
the new trailers that are going to arrive soon. Having said
that, we offer free storage over the winter at Prolite, if
you buy a new or used trailer this fall. The warranty period
starts once the delivery is complete.
Additionally, the RV manufacturers are busy constructing
next year’s models and therefore next year’s trailers are
sometimes sold at the same price as the current year
trailers, if all the current year models are sold out.
Another one of the many options a potential buyer has access to at this point in time is the chance of renting a trailer. In the fall discounts are offered due to the availability of trailers that are still for sale, which means that you get to try the RV you are thinking of buying, before committing to the purchase. Dealers also tend to offer weekend trailer rentals (as opposed to week long rentals) during the fall, because the demand for trailers is low. Finally, most campgrounds are less busy during the fall, meaning that you can still get a nice campsite even without a reservation and usually at a reduced cost.
